Live rosin is a two-step solventless concentrate. First, fresh-frozen flower is washed in ice water to separate trichome heads — this produces ice-water hash, which is then dried under freeze-dry. Second, the dried hash is pressed between heated plates at 180°F–200°F for 60–120 seconds. The pressure (typically 1,000 PSI) liquefies the trichome heads into a glassy, terpene-rich concentrate. No solvents are used at any stage — only ice, water, heat, and pressure. The micron number (e.g. 73μ, 90μ) refers to the screen size used during the wash, which determines which trichome head sizes are captured. Smaller micron screens (45μ–73μ) capture only the most mature heads; larger screens (90μ–120μ) capture a broader range. LimeLine specializes in 73μ and 90μ live rosin from our Isanti Frost cultivar.
